The discs shown represent all currently-available recordings of music written by Paul Paray. 

 

 

 

 

The soloist is Ruth Lapeyre, soprano, the Assumption Grotto choir and orchestra are conducted by Father Eduard Perrone.  

Most of the songs are in French; 2 of them are in Latin.     

The accompanying booklet includes program notes and a complete bi-lingual translation for all works on the recording.

This set is the first volume of a projected series of recordings of the complete works of Paul Paray

The set includes 13 songs with full orchestra and several with piano, and a few with organ.

Most of these are romantic, secular works (3 of them with choir and orchestra).

Two of them are with organ and are sacred.

 

       Volume 2 of Paray's : The world premiere recordings of Paray's oratorios: Jeanne d'Arc and Pastorale de Noel.
